If you discover that your machine is taking much longer than usual to boot up, there are a few things you could try:

• Check hard drive for possible failure
• Check your machines RAM (memory)
• Try disabling startup applications
• Check machine for possible virus or malware
• Delete temporary files
• Run Check Disk and sfc scan
• Your machine may need a little more RAM.

If your pc appears more sluggish than usual, regularly shuts down, or is noisier than usual, then your pc may require the internal fans cleaning. Your desktop or laptop pc has internal mechanisms that immediately shut down if the temperature gets too hot, therefore protecting the important components from damage. This can be a very frustrating and time consuming problem to solve, but there are a few things you can try:

• Check router to see if the broadband and internet LED is lit
• If lights are not illuminated restart the router
• Make sure all telephone lines, including extension have a
  broadband filter
• Call your service provider to have them test the line if both the broadband and internet lights are illuminated
• Check the wireless or physically wired connection to your machine
  If everything seems good and it’s showing a connection it could be a
  DNS or software problem within the machine.
